The Puget Sound GWS Team is looking for a dynamic, analytical, and highly accountable Senior Portfolio Manager, Real Estate, to take on this role in the Puget Sound. Working on high-impact projects, you will have the opportunity to work with our internal business partners, industry specialists and strategic vendors to further foster innovation and deliver renowned solutions across our campus.

This position serves as a primary interface with Business Group(s) and client disciplines focused on office space, as well as the lab and specialty needs required to support Hardware, Software, and the next generation technologies needed to support the development of new products and services. This role enables GWS to thoughtfully incorporate the unique space requirements Microsoft has into the long-term Master Plan for the Puget Sound Campus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive multi-year planning for the real estate portfolio, including strategy, business, financial and operational planning in alignment with the GWS organization global and regional goals and client strategy. 

  • Strategize with Puget Sound Portfolio Managers and Business Group (BG) representatives to ensure business unit objectives are aligned with real estate objectives.

  • Accountable for the development of business cases to accurately and comprehensively articulate planned or emergent BG headcount and special use requirements. Align headcount forecast with lab and specialty forecast.

  • Effectively leverage third party vendors to deliver services on time and within budget, consistent with the needs of the business client.  

  • Ensure effective regional and local partnerships with supporting peer organizations: Microsoft Technology, Procurement, Finance, Legal Corporate Affairs, and HR, and foster service delivery integration to business clients.  

  • Manage execution of projects and approved plans across stakeholder groups aligning BG objectives with established portfolio optimization criteria, within approved timelines and expectations.

  • Ensure and facilitate communications with clients and stakeholders, maintain and share all relevant information and/or lessons learned through a knowledge management-based platform.

  • Ensure continuous process improvement programs are in place, and cost saving opportunities are identified and implemented.

  • Assure representation and alignment with the established space governance model and guidelines.

  • Lead cross team projects to ensure regional and business alignment on key strategic GWS initiatives.

  • In partnership with the BG subject matter specialists, develop tools to assess and monitor utilization of spaces to ensure these high investment spaces are optimized.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field AND 3+ years relevant experience

  • OR 5+ years equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field AND 5+ years Portfolio Management, Real Estate, or Office Management experience

  • OR 7+ years equivalent experience.

  • Degree in business management, project management, finance or engineering.

Real Estate Portfolio Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
