The Global Demand Center (GDC) is leading marketing transformation at Microsoft. In the GDC, we lead digital-first sales motions, customer engagement marketing at scale, campaigns to celebrate launches, events to strengthen customer connection and product understanding, plus relationship marketing designed to onboard, and deepen brand love. All the while we are building a rich understanding of the propensity of accounts to purchase, supporting sellers with signals for better account planning and opportunity generation. The Senior Integrated Marketing and Content Strategy Lead serves as a high-visibility role that will require a deep passion for content strategy and building integrated customer experiences in the era of AI. This role will need to earn influence across multiple levels of the organization to create compelling, customer-focused, integrated marketing campaigns that drive awareness and acquisition for Microsoft Security. This position is for a marketing professional with demonstrated success building and executing integrated marketing strategies, experience in building content strategy, and a drive for results. Candidates will need communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders across all levels and functions in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develops integrated marketing strategy for Threat Protection, including the customer journey across digital marketing channels

• Develops compelling messaging that tells the threat protection story based on briefings and insights from product marketing and go-to-market to drive engagements across the customer journey.

• Develops content strategy based on business objectives, audience needs and stages of the customer journey. Identifies content gaps and opportunities and oversees development of digital content

• Develops and oversees implementation of global re-engagement strategy with nurture and promotional emails and in close coordination with Marketing Operations and the security editorial calendar.

• Manages content budget and oversees internal/external agency execution of content development

• Supports quarterly and fiscal year priorities and planning by identifying investment opportunities and areas of growth to bring focus to our marketing execution

• Collaborates with Product Marketing teams to understand market dynamics, business opportunities, product roadmaps, and disclosure plans.

• Partners with Analytics teams to support Integrated Marketing reviews, deeply understands performance and insights.

• Shares and evangelizes marketing plans, gathering feedback based on research and learnings.

• Supports new Product Marketing initiatives, determining appropriate levels and methods of support and necessary reprioritization of resources through a v-team.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of working with web, blog, social, or paid campaigns

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 2+ years integrated marketing (e.g., digital, relationship, social media, campaign), event management, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience developing content strategies and managing digital content development

  • Strategic and creative thinker, with great attention to detail.

  • Experience nurturing customer relationships at scale.

  • Experience hiring, briefing, and working with agency partners toward successful completion of projects

  • Excellent communication skills and the proven ability to earn influence at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Results-focused with a deep sense of accountability and experience driving large projects from start to finish.

  • Ability to educate and influence with high levels of ambiguity and tight deadlines.

  • Strategic mindset including interpreting data to inform strategy and execution.

Integrated Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
