The Video and Entertainment team in the Microsoft AI organization powers video experiences used by millions of people around the world across the Edge new tab page, Windows feeds, MSN, and other canvases. Our product team is looking for a talented Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (UX) to help build the next generation of video experiences across our canvases. You will have opportunities to work with many teams across Microsoft AI (Copilot), Edge, Windows, Xbox, Bing and other divisions to develop innovative and exciting solutions for our users and partners. You will be involved in developing code in multiple layers of the stack including modern web UX, service end points, middle tier workflows, and data layers. You will work on a team with other engineers, product managers, and designers to develop, A/B test, and ship new experiences to our users that improve our product and help us learn more about the needs of our users. Responsibilities
Develop UX/API features that have direct impact on key business metrics and 500M+ users.
Work with partner teams from Edge, Windows, Bing and Content Services to coordinate and deliver projects on-time.
Contribute to rigorous engineering practices to ensure high-availability and service quality under load.
Design scalable architectures that solve user scenarios across different partners and service topologies.
Help ensure live site health of the product and its continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance to other engineers and act as mentor.
Take initiative to identify and fix bottlenecks.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
OR equivalent experience.
Familiarity with large scale service development, testing and deployment.
Demonstrated ability to ship high-quality software on time.
3+ years of coding experience JavaScript/Typescript
2+ years experience with Web Components/React/Angular
Familiarity with Figma (or similar) and collaboration with designer
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Ability to span across a large number of areas while getting sufficiently deep in new focus areas where necessary

Experience with any of the following engineering areas: scalability, compliance, performance, security, privacy, reliability, accessibility, localization, or globalization.
Deep technical understanding and a proven ability to develop successful long-term code/service architectures.
Commitment to customer obsession in order to solve real user problems in consumer and enterprise products.
A systematic problem solver who ramps up quickly, understands complex problems, and creates solutions across many services and dependencies.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
