The Identity and Network Access team is searching for a Senior Front-end Software Engineer, who can define, build, and evolve heavily integrated platforms at scale. Our team is part of the Security organization in Microsoft and is responsible forbringing networking, identity, and security together. Microsoft Entra Private Access protects access to private networks of the organization and gives access to the relevant employees from any network or device.

By granting organizations the authority to set precise policies for specific applications, we substantially diminish the risk of unauthorized access to valuable organizational resources.

As a team, we work across multiple frameworks primarily including C# with .Net core and Typescript on the React framework

Responsibilities

You will collaborate closely with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver key customer solutions and the technology to support them.

• Lead design and implementation of multiple customers scenarios, including Full stack development with frontend orientation, testing and monitoring throughout the release phases.

• Unify customer view points and experiences to a single cohesive experience

• Modernize our technical stack in a sustainable and scalable way

• Contribute to definition of requirements, KPIs, priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.

• Mentor otherengineers in best practices across livesite, engineering, design and development

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in JavaScript

• OR equivalent experience.

• 3+ years of experience with Front-end development with technologies like Angular, React, or Vue

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in JavaScript

• OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in JavaScript

• OR equivalent experiene

• Experience with large UX frameworks written in Typescript

• Independent, capable of making decisions in an ambiguous environmentand unblock yourself

• Effective communication skills to collaborate cross-group and work effectively within the team

• Effective mentorship skills

• Experience in server-side development, object orientated programming

• Technical leadership experience in high performing agile teams

• Expertise in any modern continuous delivery/deployment systems

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
