Would you like to be part of Treasury team within GTFS organization and drive Microsoft’s environmental and social (ESG) investment initiatives? The team works closely with senior leadership and various teams across Microsoft on strategic initiatives including Affordable Housing, Climate Innovation Fund, and Racial Injustice.

The Senior Treasury Manager will drive and partner with several stakeholders including legal, real estate & facilities, data center, corporate accounting, tax, and all parts of GTFS as well as financial firms, consultants, real estate developers, and other companies.

Responsibilities

  • Support management of Microsoft’s ESG, Affordable Housing, Climate Innovation Fund, and Racial Injustice investment initiatives through supporting program objectives, sourcing & analyzing investment opportunities, and executing transactions & hedges

  • Perform market/investment analysis & research and develop deep understanding of key drivers impacting deal economics

  • Work across functions, organizations, and external parties to ensure alignment and coordination for smooth and efficient execution of transactions

  • Engage & represent GTFS in meetings with key internal and external partners

  • Develop and maintain reporting for initiatives and contribute to the preparation of executive level presentation materials

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Ability to manage a transaction end-to-end with minimal guidance and comfort with ambiguity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree is a plus

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills are key for success in this role

  • Demonstrated ability to create clarity, collaborate, be inclusive and curious learner

  • Simplify the complex and effective written and oral communication skills for all levels of audience

  • Must have a passion for the interaction between impact with investments, policy, accounting, tax, legal, and corporate environment
