Microsoft Investment Optimization (IO) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving team at the forefront of Microsofts AI and Cloud strategy. The team is the leading hub of driving engineering resource and investment allocation, and enabling operating leverage, in partnership with senior executive finance and engineering leaders impacting company-wide decisions.
The Senior Finance Manager, Mirosoft Security position is an integral member of Microsofts Security business. Security represents the most critical priorities for our customers in a world awash in digital threats, regulatory scrutiny, and estate complexity. The Microsoft Security organization accelerates Microsofts mission and bold ambitions to ensure that our company and industry is securing digital technology platforms, devices, and clouds in our customers heterogeneous environments, as well as ensuring the security of our own internal estate. This position will closely partner with specific senior Microsoft Security engineering leaders and their teams on a wide range of responsibilities focused on enabling most effective resource allocation for growth, driving strong performance management, providing high quality and timely business insights to influence decision making and delivering success on business and financial objectives.

Responsibilities
Performance Management
- Partner with the business and finance team to understand investments, operating expenses and headcount results and trends. Translate data into timely and actionable insights. Simplify the complex and communicate in a clear and concise manner. Identify and signal risks and opportunities early.
Resource Allocation
- Recommend efficient resource allocation through deep understanding of the business and drivers, and drive execution of an aligned plan.
Business Planning and Forecasting
Develop and review forecast incorporating insights, risk, and opportunities. Ensure consistency in methodologies and assumptions. Improve forecast accuracy.
Own and drive efficient financial rhythms and reporting that appropriately support business partners.
Drive learning from others and sharing best practices across team boundaries.
Ensure compliance in reporting financial information through approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies.
Apply understanding of advanced technology to accomplish business goals and provide greater depth of analysis.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.
2+ years experience close partnership with leaders and teams outside of own function
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, and quickly prioritize for biggest impact
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $91,800 - $178,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $117,900 - $195,000 per year.
