Microsoft Gaming is looking for an exceptional communications professional to lead executive and internal communications for the CEO of Microsoft Gaming. The Senior Director of Internal Communications - Gaming will act as a trusted advisor to both the CEO and the Gaming Leadership Team, collectively driving storytelling that will shape the future of play. This role will work to ensure that everyone on the team, from our skilled studio teams to our dynamic marketing and sales teams, feels connected to bringing the joy and community of gaming to everyone on the planet, meeting players whenever and wherever they want to play.

The Senior Director of Internal Communications - Gaming is responsible for collaborating across the Gaming organization to create, plan, and implement effective employee communications vehicles designed to support our ambition. This leader will be involved in all stages of communications initiatives—from concept formulation and message development to execution and results-oriented evaluation. While this role will primarily focus on the internal communications strategy and execution for our Microsoft Gaming employees, it also includes close partnership on external communications opportunities for holistic storytelling. Ultimately, this position will achieve success individually and through others as we pioneer new territory in gaming.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a scalable, cross-division strategy and execution plan for employee communications and platforms, inclusive of social channels as needed.

  • Ensure CEO speeches, presentations and engagements land Microsoft Gaming messaging clearly and effectively.

  • Create an inclusive, collaborative environment for the development and production of communications materials and deployment of communications tactics (e.g., decks, posts, talking points).

  • Lead an internal communications rhythm of business to ensure all are informed of communications purpose and plans.

  • Lead team to develop and drive stories in fresh ways that generate positive perceptions towards Microsoft Gaming.

  • Align internal communication strategies and tactics with our external communications and marketing organizations.

  • Develop and drive process that keep stakeholders aligned and updated on communications initiatives (calendars, workback plans, etc).

  • Guide team to monitor, track, and analyze the impact of and responses to messaging, enabling future iteration.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years people management experience.

  • Experience working for a company with over 4,000 employees

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 10+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years Communications, Marketing Operations, Field Operations, Program Management, Project Management, or related experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years people management experience.

  • 5+ years experience in the gaming industry.

  • 5+ years experience interfacing with c-level executives.

Communications M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $154,500 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $199,600 - $299,400 per year.
