If so, then this might be your dream job!

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate to join our Developer Insights team. In this role, you will lead our efforts to engage with service teams and developers. You will work with developers to understand their needs, and translate those needs into valuable insights and recommendations. You will also immerse yourself into these services, forming your own strong opinions and build feedback packages to bring insights back to our service teams and work collaboratively to shape the future of AWS services.

You'll be at the forefront of improving developer experiences across AWS services, ensuring we deliver solutions that delight and empower developers worldwide.

Folks interested in this role will have:

• Proven experience as a Developer Advocate or similar role, with a deep understanding of developer needs, pain points, and experience best practices.

• Strong technical background in software development, with hands-on experience using AWS services and a broad understanding of the AWS ecosystem.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships with service teams and effectively advocate for developer needs.

• Data-driven and analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and synthesize feedback from multiple sources and derive actionable insights.

• Passion for improving the developer experience and a commitment to delivering results that measurably impact developer satisfaction and engagement.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain a balance between proactive planning and reactive agility.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Developer Advocate on the Developer Insights team your role is to be the voice of the developer within AWS, championing their needs and influencing the evolution of our services. You'll dive deep into new AWS services, push them to their limits, and then use your insights to drive real change.

You'll gather insights and feedback from your own experimentation, others within AWS, and from developers on the frontlines. You will turn those insights into comprehensive feedback packages designed to influence roadmaps for our products and services. Your technical depth and analytical skills will ensure AWS continues to deliver delightful developer experiences.

You will spend a significant amount of time working with service team members to build trust, understand their services, and deliver actionable insights.

While the majority of this role is focused on inbound work, you will also create engaging content (video, blog, conference talks, code samples) to enable developers worldwide to be successful with AWS services.

A day in the life

Here's what your day might look like:

• Immerse yourself in AWS services, forming expert opinions to provide meaningful, actionable insights and recommendations that uplift the developer experience.

• Identify friction points, opportunities, and happy paths relating to the developer experience through hands-on testing, community feedback analysis, and industry trend research.

• Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based Product Feedback Packages (PFPs) to service teams, including high-level insights, detailed experience evaluations, and prioritized remediation recommendations.

• Collaborate closely with service teams to discuss findings, prioritize recommendations, and develop action plans that balance developer experience improvements with business and technical considerations.

• Serve as the persistent voice of the developer within AWS.

• Dive into data, spotting trends, and translating complex patterns into actionable insights for our service teams.

• Create code samples, demos, and content that showcase the true potential of AWS services.
