About the role

The Windows Signature Experiences Design team is looking for a Senior Designer who can deliver cross company signature experiences which bring the best of Microsoft products & services to Windows, in holistic effortless way.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to come up with innovative solutions which help scale, drive engagement, and grow Microsoft products & services via Windows. In this role, you will also have an opportunity to deliver and tackle broad strategic problems, multiple stakeholders across products and organizations.

Collaborating with a new and growing multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for working with product owners to simplify complex problems within business, technology, and experience constraints into compelling customer driven design solutions.

About Windows & Devices

The Windows & Devices Experiences team is responsible for creating the next generation of experiences for Windows and the Surface line of products.

We are a multidisciplinary team of designers, product managers and engineers who work collaboratively on creating research-backed, people-centric experiences that bridge the gap between software and hardware, while being inclusive, accessible, and modern. We believe that our products reflect the people and the culture behind them, and we foster a synergetic work environment where curiosity, critical thinking and diverse perspectives are highly valued.

About Windows Signature Experiences Design

As part of the Windows & Devices Experiences team, Signature Experiences Design team focuses on creating unique, delightful, and impactful experiences which energizing the Microsoft ecosystem. The team focusses on delivering end-to-end scenarios which allow people to effortlessly finish their tasks, connect with their loved ones, and access information & content at their fingertips.

We collaborate with products and services across Microsoft to identify unique scenarios which can only be achieved by deep integration of such services. Two recent experiences which the team has designed are the Teams Chat Integration ( and Widgets experiences ( .

In collaboration with our Product and Engineering counterparts, we design, validate, and implement design and developer solutions that power experiences for the most popular desktop OS on the planet.



  • Identify unique opportunities across Microsoft to create a set of memorable and ownable experiences that will help scale, drive engagement, and grow Microsoft products & services via Windows.

  • Collaborate with multiple product teams to create holistic vision addressing a complex set of user problems and then work with them to create a plan to deliver them.

  • Advocate for design and engineering best practices to our design and developer audience to deliver modern and performant experiences

  • Work closely with Research, Product and Engineering to identify, plan, scope and execute design solutions end to end

  • Work autonomously and think strategically to identify areas of opportunity across Microsoft.

  • Creating beautiful, impactful, and innovative product designs

  • Working with a diverse and talented team of designers, product managers, and engineers to build quality, reliable, inclusive, and accessible experiences that run on 1 billion devices.

  • Participating in design brainstorms and work sessions to bring ideas into reality and product truth.

  • Dedication to product craftsmanship across a feature area that meets the quality bar set by design.



  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional design skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex problems through elegant solutions

  • 5+ years of experience of building digital products

  • Experience in driving large scale, customer-centered, horizontal initiatives: understanding the needs, behaviors and motivations of our customers to develop relevant solutions that impact multiple endpoints

  • Ability to champion collaborative product making and partnering with multiple teams across multiple organizations

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills (both verbal and written) and ability to present your work to peers and executives

  • Excellent visual design skills and ability create pixel-perfect designs, prototypes and other design artifacts

  • Proficiency with industry standard design tools such as Figma, XD,ProtoPie or equivalent applications

  • Familiarity with agile process, asynchronous communication and working with distributed teams
