The Agile BI team (also known as Starlight) is responsible for growing and supporting an end-to-end BI platform at scale. Through this platform, we enable various audiences (from senior executives to field leaders) across many organizations to monitor and manage their business’ performance.

We are looking for a DevOps Data Engineer Lead who has a proven record of successfully building and supporting BI and data warehouse solutions and platforms to join us in our evolution, taking a leading role in designing, implementing and evolving innovative capabilities tailored to solving complex scenarios. In this role, you will also leverage Microsoft’s latest BI and cloud technologies for delivering BI applications to drive analytics and insights.

Responsibilities

The role’s core responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines and data-driven systems on Microsoft Azure technologies.

  • Design and implement new data pipelines to support Analytics team

  • Ability to lead a team of BI developers

  • Work with PM and business stakeholders to understand business requirement and translate to technical requirements

  • Build functionality to align to data platform standards and best practices.

  • Analyzing and solving complex business problems, breaking down the work into actionable tasks, and partnering with our PMs to plan and communicate delivery commitments

  • Thought leadership, creation, and execution on new platform capabilities

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • BA/BS in operations, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or other technical/quantitative discipline

  • 6+ years of BI and Data warehouse development experience delivering dimensional models and BI applications.

  • Expertise in at least T-SQL and SQL development using stored procedures, SSIS. Spark SQL will be a plus.

  • Azure Databricks, Sparks and experience with big data technologies will be highly valuable.

  • Experience in working on delivering data solutions using Agile Methodology

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking skills, and communication skills

  • Machine Learning, Data Science, and statistical modeling preferred

  • Knowledge of Microsoft data assets/systems preferred
