Microsoft Corporation Senior Compliance Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

The Microsoft Health and Life Sciences (HLS) team is looking for a Senior Compliance Program Manager to join our team. This is an opportunity to join a growing organization focused on healthcare-specific data platforms, AI products and Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare. We are looking for someone who will bring compliance and regulatory expertise with a focus on healthcare to our team. The right candidate will be a colleague who will partner with engineering, business, and legal teams to help navigate the complexities of healthcare regulation and compliance requirements.

This role will be vital to our HLS compliance team, bringing experience in compliance and regulatory project management to the group. They will help develop programs, policies, and procedures to help our growing team navigate the complicated regulatory environment of healthcare cloud systems. Responsibilities will include working with engineering and cross-company compliance teams to develop effective and efficient programs to ensure healthcare specific compliance. They will work across teams to perform gap analyses, regulatory control monitoring and develop tracking of new and existing obligations.

By joining this team you will be working in partnership with peers on the compliance team to help deliver a holistic compliance program for the healthcare space. The team provides opportunities to expand your knowledge base and work with a wide variety of teams and technologies. You’ll play a key role in helping define the value of compliance and customer trust in our healthcare cloud services by collaborating cross-group and cross-company on how to approach this complicated yet important topic. Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in compliance and/or regulatory projects

  • 5+ years of experience collaborating with engineering and/or product teams

  • 5+ years of experience with compliance related deliverables for example: controls and monitoring, risk evaluation and internal/external audits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare industry experience focused on privacy, regulation, audit and/or compliance

  • Familiarity with applicable regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, HITECH, ISO 13485:2016 (Med Device), GDPR, GxP, ISO 27001, SOC2 etc.

  • The ability to evaluate requirements, perform gap assessments and develop remediation plans

  • A strong project management skill set that will track projects status through delivery

  • A passion for communicating with end users, Customer, Partner, and Field communities

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate requirements to executives and to control owners

  • Oversee complex, often cross-functional organization-wide projects or initiatives to ensure delivery of clear, consistent message to key audiences.

  • A solid track record of achieving success through teamwork and collaboration, influencing without authority, resolving conflict, and measuring results.
