This role as a Senior Business Planner is a unique opportunity to join the Security, Operational Excellence, and AI Transformation leadership team.

In this role, you will contribute to creating a high-performing organization with responsibilities that include shaping organizational strategy and culture, leading cross-team business planning initiatives, and working as an extension of the leader to deliver the key objectives. You will work closely with Business Planners and key stakeholder teams to run and optimize the rhythm of business and support the team in creating a durable, repeatable set of processes to help business planners drive the maximum business impact.

Responsibilities

Select responsibilities include:

• Leadership Team Efficacy – Leverage relationships to influence and advise on strategic decisions, content, and expertise. Drive the agenda for the leadership team and extended leadership team and ensure follow-up on key initiatives.

• Pricing Experience – Develop the end-to-end strategy for pricing experience for the Security portfolio at Microsoft in close partnership with Product Management, Product Marketing Management, Finance, and other stakeholders.

• Business Strategy and Monetization – Ensure our business strategies and team priorities are well-documented and that the initiatives aligned with those strategies are understood and prioritized across teams. Integrate best practices across the team through onboarding and training, leveraging available expertise and materials including business model templates, whitepapers, and pricing principles. Own and update the team hub ensuring all content is current, accessible, and relevant to the team.

• Special Projects and Initiatives – Drive cross-team projects to meet changing business needs and manage complex business requirements.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, project management, business planning or related experience

o OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field

o OR 6+ years product management, strategy consulting, project management, business planning or finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field

o OR equivalent experience.

  • Prior experience with security technology highly preferred

  • A strong track record of working across diverse stakeholders to define and execute strategic initiatives with passion, precision, and excellence.

  • Demonstrated ability and prior experience in creating durable processes that are aligned with business needs and intent.

  • Structured and analytical approach to problem-solving with the ability to utilize data.

  • Exceptional business judgement leveraging strong strategic thinking complemented with a bias for action and execution/operational excellence.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive projects and build executive buy-in and support for key projects

  • Deep storytelling skills with demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence at senior levels.

Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
