Providence St. Joseph Health Senior Azure Service Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Description Senior Azure Service Engineer - Enterprise Information Services - 100% Remote within the Providence footprint of states (WA, OR, CA, MT, NM, TX, AK) The Administrative Technologies Service Engineering team works alongside Software, Operations, and Infrastructure teams to engineer modern services and support for our portfolio through service management frameworks like ITIL, MOF, or DevOps. Technical expertise is required to maintain our systems, which range from data center to Azure resources, as well as third-party SaaS solutions. This includes handling the administration, support, and deployment of SQL, Windows, Azure, and Linux solutions. As a Senior Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a highly resilient, highly available, highly secure, and highly performing product. This engineer will help function as one of the technical leads for RESO and REH for various projects and initiatives towards these ends. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree - Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering. Or equivalent educ/experience, 5 years - Related experience; more preferred. Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processes. Experience with n-tier solutions. Experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually). Experience influencing software engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service Expectations. Experience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standups to establish appropriate prioritization of Live Site requirements. Good experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and priority decisions. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Experience in problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating problems utilizing root cause analysis. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Azure.
