SDE Engineer BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated SDE Engineer for an opportunity in Redmond, WA - Onsite Position Position Title: SDE Engineer Location: Redmond, WA - Onsite Position Anticipated Start Date: October Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Expected Duration: 12+ months contract (with possible extension) Job Type: Contract, 40 HRS WEEKLY, Onsite Position Pay Range: $65/Hr - $71.42/Hr Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Requirements: * API * Json * Java * SDK Job Description: Key job responsibilities - Design and Implement Communications Components, Applications and Services - Partner with the Satellite, Networks and Security engineering teams - Design components, services, and relevant data models - Collaborate with engineers across the organization to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate critical e-Commerce software for Kuiper. - Work on initiatives building e-Commerce functions on AWS infrastructure and help implement best practices for software development. - Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems. - Help engineers and build solutions which are required for provisioning and operating an Internet service provider. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language - Expectations mentioned verbally by client directly: Experience managing Java based SDKs, AWS based development, API design, JSON Preferred Qualifications - Experience integrating Financial Application and Accounting solutions (e.g. Oracle) - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent --Additional Information-- * Java based SDKs, AWS based development, API design, JSON translates to having these skills: * Java programming Language - MVC Framework * AWS Cloud native skills and AWS tooling * API creation/JSON - Restful webservices and possibly GraphQL * API Gateway knowledge - AWS API Gateway Benefits: BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
