Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.SATELLITE ELECTRO-MECHANICAL TECHNICIANRESPONSIBILITIES: Mechanical / electrical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassisBuilding of small electrical sub-assembliesBuilding up battery cell modulesWire harnessingSoldering and desoldering of through-hole and SMT componentsSupport conformal coat, masking, epoxy application and coatingRunning functional testing on unitsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED3 years of experience using mechanical hand toolsPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Associate's degreeConformal coat support experience utilizing NVOC, Urethane, Acrylic and Silicone based CCExperience maintaining and programming of PVA Conformal Coat systemCurrent or past certification for NASA-STD-8739.3, IPC-610 or equivalentExperience preferred in fast-paced production environment with flight hardwareAble to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environmentExcellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skillsExcellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracyADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as neededStanding for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this positionMust be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassistedITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
