Summary:

Meta Reality Labs brings together world-class experts to develop and ship groundbreaking products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. We have a clear mandate to ship products at scale. In particular, seemingly impossible products that define new categories that advance Meta’s mission of connecting the world. The Reality Labs Wireless New Technology Introduction Team is looking for an AI/ML Engineer to drive the state-of-the-art AI-powered wireless technology for AR/VR products.

Required Skills:

Research Scientist, AI Responsibilities:

  1. Develop AI/ML algorithms that advance the state-of-the-art in wireless technology in communication and sensing applications

  2. Optimize algorithms for low-power and mobile compute requirements

  3. Collaborate with hardware, product, research, and other cross-functional teams on code deliverables

  4. Build technology demonstrations and communicate results to a wide range of audiences

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and statistical analysis techniques

  3. Experience with Python, MATLAB, C++, or equivalent

  4. Experience in machine learning algorithm development and state-of-the-art models (e.g., SVM, CNN, LSTM, Transformers)

  5. Experience in at least one machine learning platform (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, or equivalent) Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration

  6. Experience with deploying AI/ML model to mobile computing platforms

  1. 6+ years of experience in software engineering, or a relevant field. 3+ years of experience if you have a PhD

  2. Familiarity with consumer hardware design process, and wireless technologies (antennas, RF, WiFi, BLE, 5G, etc.)

  3. Knowledge of radar, sensing or other sub-systems in consumer electronics

  4. Experience in communicating complex research in a clear, concise and actionable manner

Public Compensation:

$143,000/year to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
