Salary:                   $310,164/year to $339,130/year + bonus + equity + benefits.

Duties:

 

Recruit, lead and mentor a team of research scientists, research engineers, and post-doc researchers to fulfill Sensors and Systems Research Team's mission. Participate and contribute to Sensors and Systems Research Team's overall technology roadmap development, strategic decision formation, and overall team growth. Initiate and lead new custom sensor and sensing modality conceptualization and specification formulation. Lead integrating custom-designed image sensor bringing up, validation, calibration, and system prototyping activities. Create IP portfolio that capture all aspects of sensors and system research technology breakthroughs. Position includes 15% domestic and international travel.

 

Requirements:

 

Employer will accept a Ph.D degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering Sciences, or related field and one year of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.

Position requires one year of experience in the following:

  1. Image sensors, 2D and 3D image sensors, advanced photonics, machine perception and computer vision systems;
  2. New image sensor design and development from conception to image sensor bringing up and system level integration;
  3. Supporting image sensor application developments from cross-functional teams including camera module team, system integration team, and algorithm development team;
  4. Design and implementation of image sensor features and functions such as micro lens/color filter array design methodology, device simulation with TCAD in advanced CMOS image

sensor process nodes, image sensor readout analog front-end design, and ADC design experience using Cadence Virtuoso;

  1. Programming languages such as C and C++;
  2. Simulation and modeling experience with scripting languages such as Python or Matlab;
  3. Image sensor characterization;
  4. Image sensor productions and system integration;
  5. Management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project manager;
  6. Mentoring junior team members and contributing to organizational development.
