  • Raise purchase requisitions from MRP system ensuring timely placement and delivery of components in line with production planning requirements.

  • Process all MRP exception messages to suit production planning requirements. Interact with Business Development and Contracts to understand demand forecast drivers.

  • Use and maintain MRP data as the primary planning system tool.

  • Provide input in developing departmental strategies for inventory on existing items, new product introduction and phase outs.

  • Perform related inventory transactions into the ERP system.

  • Report gathered information within production meeting environment.

  • Create statistical reports requiring:

  • Gathering, analyzing and validating data.

  • Sharing data with relevant departments and external suppliers.

  • Work with demand and forecasting, incorporating current and accurate information. Provide Supply Chain with appropriate information to allow Purchasing to meet demand.

  • Improve relationships among Production Planners, Sales, Production Supervisors and Quality which will lead to effective knowledge sharing and optimizing information to attain the monthly sales plan.

  • Execute with excellence in the area of stock and demand replenishment providing feedback to the supply chain on risks regarding replenishment levels and demand.

The successful candidate will typically have a bachelor's degree or equivalent and 6-9 years of related experience.
