About the Customer Communities and Partner Scale Team:  At Scale team, we build tools and platforms for our engineering Product Managers and Community leads to support their community engagements and community management life cycle at scale. We provide scalability through continuous improvement of our platforms, tooling, and operations. Scale has two wings to enable this, the Scale Tooling and Platform team, where this position is located, provides platforms and automations to bring scale to these workstreams and the Operations side of the team supports engagements by directly working with customers and engineers to execute engagements. Together, both teams enable Microsoft’s Security Product Groups to engage directly with customers to develop high quality products that are secure and meet customer needs.

About the role: As a Product Manager, you will support the Scale team by overseeing the development and continuous improvement of tools and platforms that enhance community engagement and management. Your role involves coordinating between the Scale Tooling and Platform team and the Operations team to ensure seamless, scalable solutions and high-quality support for CCP communities.

Responsibilities

Platform Management:

  • Manage Sharepoint and Power Apps platforms.

  • Maintain backlog for Features, user stories and bugs.

  • Coordinates scenario walkthroughs to identify issues, gather feedback, and improve features for early customer adoption.

  • Ensure platform quality, integrity, and security across all initiatives.

  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand platform needs and deliver solutions.

Product Management Support:

  • Assist in defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for SharePoint and Power Apps platforms.

  • Integrates feature roadmaps with broader objectives, prioritizes backlogs, adapts to new inputs, and aligns roadmaps with all stakeholders.

  • Perform market research and competitive analysis to support product development.

  • Communicate Project Status and Risk Management with all internal and external stakeholders.

Process Improvement:

  • Establish and refine processes for managing SharePoint and Power Apps projects.

  • Implement best practices for development, deployment, and maintenance of solutions.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay informed about the latest technologies and trends in SharePoint and Power Apps to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Foster a culture of learning and adaptation within the team and community.

Project Coordination:

  • Support project timelines, resources, and budget management.

  • Assist in coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

  • Identify and help mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as a point of contact for our Platform and go into detail.

  • Communicate project status, updates, and milestones to senior management and other stakeholders.

  • Gather and incorporate feedback from users to continuously improve products and services.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of community building and engagement practices.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.

  • Ability to understand data flow and system architecture.

  • Good data analytics and reporting knowledge.

  • Ability to do hands proof of concept on Power Platform.

  • Experience with Power Platform ideal but not required.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Prior knowledge and or experience of Security Products at Microsoft ideal but not required.

  • Prior knowledge or experience with enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms ideal but not required.

Product Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year.
