Job Description:

Summary: The main function of a process engineer is to drive the development of new processes and materials for display and optics, and contribute to the core expertise of a world-class engineering team. Framing process and materials research problems, plan projects, and lead the execution. development of state-of-the-art processes and prototypes will require the intersection of novel materials, mechanical, electrical, and software fields. Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, process, and materials engineers to manage the development and documentation of innovative small organic molecule-based fabrication processes
  • Design and execute life-cycle approach validation efforts to validate existing processes for the production of quality and conforming parts
  • Lead the production of parts using developed processes on a schedule with tight timelines, with a focus on design for manufacturability
  • Specify and operate analytical equipment used in process development
  • Identify and solve blocking issues for designers and engineers, maximizing their efficiency by ensuring they have the manufacturing tools and information they need

Skills:

  • Ability to track and organize documentation, experiment results, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work-in-progress (WIP) logs
  • Experience scaling processes from research to pilot-production or mass manufacture, and implementing quality control procedures to resolve processing problems
  • Ability to design and implement process development plans, design of experiments (DOE), establishing critical process parameters and quality control strategies

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Organic chemistry, Chemical engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, Composites or related field

Redmond, Washington, Onsite Lab will be in Origin and office in Building X All 5 days a week should work Onsite Pay $60- $70/hr w2 What are the key initiatives that this resource will be supporting? Any key projects?

  • Support new material and process development for optics and display.
  • Independently work and should have good hands on experience.
  • Comfortable in handling and operating tools - lamination tools, material synthesis tools, polisher, surface polishing machines, Reporting

Total No of years of experience: If PhD: 5+ If Bachelor's: then 8+ Degree / Certifications: Fresh PHD preference / Bachelor's in Engineering
