Microsoft Corporation Principal Technical Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

Would you like to spend your days meaningfully impacting society? Are you an exceptional technical program manager who wants to join an amazing team on a mission to protect the world? Do you want to work with industry leading technology – cloud services, machine learning, big data, and more?

Become a member of the new “Web Defense” team, chartered with protecting Microsoft customers from Web Threats like phishing, tech support scams, and more. Our team brings together a unique mix of complimentary, collaborative and highly effective people — learning, shaping, and building our vision together.

We need an amazing thought leader to drive our “technical” thinking for our backend service. Someone with a strong engineering foundation, who loves working closely with developers on the architecture of complex systems and state of the art machine learning. Someone who loves the classical art of technical PM – designing features, driving the implementation, aligning opinionated engineering teams around a shared goal. Come lead the designs for one of the most critical problems facing society!

This role provides the potential for tremendous impact, personal growth, and an opportunity to work across divisional boundaries and develop a broad understanding of Microsoft’s Security, Compliance, and Management business.

  1. Be a genuine, thoughtful leader. Invest in the engineers, researchers, and program managers with whom you work to elevate the team, excite our people, and amplify the impact we have as a team.

  2. Develop deep relationships with your engineering counterparts to deeply understand the challenges and remove blockers that we face building new services from the ground up to protect over 1B Microsoft customers from persistent, sophisticated attackers.

  3. Maintaing and advance deep technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with technology trends and competitive insights. Leverage this deep knowledge to improve the products and services that we build.

  4. Work directly with our customers and be their voice within the engineering team to share insights to ensure that we build the best product for real humans.
