We are looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager to join our team.

As part of the Dynamics 365 engineering organization, our team delivers business applications for Connected Customer Care – for contact centers supporting customers on real-time chats with AI and live agents. And as a Principal Software Engineering Manager, you will work with business and technology leaders as well as internal business users and partners to conceive, design and implement Dynamics 365 applications and pick the best technical architecture to solve their business needs. Our product builds on cloud-scale backend services, integrates AI services, and delivers end-to-end experiences through embedded web chat, social channels like WhatsApp, and extensibility through realtime APIs.

Responsibilities

• Understanding and anticipating the needs of our customers who need to reach to changing business and technology landscape is critical.

• Understanding of the broader product vision and ability to plan and design various features in stages to reach the end goal in an evolutionary way is critical.

• You will be accountable to the design, implementation, schedule, delivery, of your team and services. Doing this in an efficient way.

• This is a technical position, and the candidate should be capable of working in the code, supporting the service, and understanding at a detailed level how the software works.

• We will look to you to have an informed opinion about what and how the software should evolve and can land your plan in the division.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of people management experience in a product development environment

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in object-oriented languages

  • Knowledge of end-to-end Software development lifecycle

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
