We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer who is ready to be a part of a team that moves fast, leverages continuous delivery practices, and is centered at the customer experience. This position requires strong collaboration and teamwork across team and organizational boundaries, playing a vital role in engineering services that delight the customer.

We are a new startup in CSEO . A strategy-led team that is building products and services that will make Azure the best cloud for our SAP customers. Core Services Engineering is a team of engineers who developed many of the critical infrastructure and systems at Microsoft that supports multibillion-dollar businesses such as Microsoft Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Sales & Marketing.

We have built one of the best tools and services in the world, with many years of firsthand learning experiences, running our own large-scale businesses. Our enterprise partners and customers have asked that we share such knowledge, tools, and services with them, and this team is tasked to go deliver that solution as part of the overall Azure services for enterprise customers. We are hiring experienced engineers who is customer focused, have great engineering discipline, and can deliver solutions for both the cloud, as well as on-premise enterprise customers who needs to migrate to such services. Experience developing cloud solutions at scale, and specifically delivering ERP/CRM/SRM/HRM in the cloud experience is desired.


  • Partner closely with product owners, take a customer-centric approach to defining design requirements and developing solution roadmap.

  • A strong focus on the end-to-end customer experience.

  • Evaluate and select the best technologies aligned to best practices and patterns that supports designing products and services at cloud-scale to establish Azure as the best cloud for SAP.

  • Define, Design, Develop, Test, Deploy, and improve Software components, services, systems and features in large scale and distributed cloud environment.

  • Provide Technical Leadership to build smart monitoring infrastructure for large & Enterprise scale, high availability cloud services on Azure that run SAP.

  • Work with partner teams for ability planning, defining service requirements, and designing end-to-end service monitoring strategy.


Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Design, or a related field, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience is required.

  • 7 years' minimum experience in Software Development or Software Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a large-scale organization driving collaboration across multiple disciplines and teams.

  • 5+ Exposure to programming languages/tools including C#, Java, Python, Ruby, Scala, SQL and scripting (Java, Python, Spark, SQL, Hive, JavaScript, Shell).

  • 7+ years of experience working with a metrics-driven mindset, ability to experiment, learn and improve cloud services.

  • 5+ years of experience working with complex engineering problems with abilities to piece those into opportunities for the platform.

  • 7+ years of experience using telemetry to understand throughput, limitations, and constraints in a service.

  • Experience in Infrastructure and Configuration as code, as well as service auto-scale capabilities

  • Exposure to SAP NetWeaver and S4/HANA platform preferred.
