About the Role
Our team is looking for a Principal Program Manager to deliver best-in-class video experiences on the web. In particular, we want to unlock the power of video as "the next Office document type" by making video just as easy to create, edit, review, share, and reuse as docs, decks, and spreadsheets. We'll start by making it simple and enticing to create video with approachable tools for recording your screen, camera, microphone, or all of these at once. Straightforward and intelligent edits at the moment of capture and later on, across mobile and web, will make it easy to take any recording, edit it, and make it a rich "document" (for example, adding transcripts, chapters, doc links, quizzes, and more).
We need an experienced PM to help us define and deliver a new strategy that considers customer needs, business opportunity, and the E+D-wide "Modern video" strategy. This role will have a mix of long-term initiative ownership as well as responsibility to organize, spec, and drive investments within our tight-knit, highly-collaborative team of PMs, Designers, Engineers, Data Analysts, and Researchers. You'll need to build tight partnerships with teams across Office and OneDrive/SharePoint, and you'll have impact and exposure at all levels of our organization.

Partner closely with peers and leaders in OMG and across E+D to define and communicate a multi-year strategy and iterative release plan
Deeply understand customers and competitors, and use that knowledge to define solutions that solve real problems and create real delight
Build excellent, collaborative relationships with peers & partners across OMG, Office, and ODSP
Define and monitor success criteria and product health metrics
Lead a multi-discipline feature crew to deliver high-quality shipping code
Track and report on the execution of all product deliverables.
6+ years experience as a technical Program or Product Manager
Proven record of product leadership with an ability to influence and drive execution across cross-functional teams, embracing challenges and persisting in the face of setback.
History of establishing credibility with executives as well as technical and non-technical team members.
Leadership skills and a dedication to leading by example
Excellent project management, collaboration, and communication skills
A history of working comfortably and confidently through ambiguity
Demonstrated commitment to identifying and solving problems for your team and customer.
