Microsoft Corporation Principal Program Manager--DevOps Compliance in Redmond, Washington

Commerce + Ecosystems is the organization that enables Microsoft's rating, usage, invoicing, payment and financial processes. These commerce services are migrating to Azure technologies and engineering practices. With this change, we are adopting Azure and DevOps technologies to meet SOX and other compliance requirements. Not only will this role have responsibility to ensure Microsoft continues to be compliant in a cloud services and DevOps model, but it will drive value for Azure customers with like compliance requirements.


We are looking for a senior engineering leader to lead Microsoft's initiative to leverage Azure to automate access and change management controls. This includes documenting control requirements, designing Azure capabilities to meet requirements, training engineers how to use, adopt and manage change. This leader will also be responsible to maintain and operate existing access and change management tools while the Azure capabilities are being adopted. Also, this leader will be responsible to define metrics to measure adoption and performance to meet compliance requirements.


  • 10+ years developing and supporting services/applications with 5+ years in compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements

  • 2+ years experience with Azure or cloud-based technologies and engineering practices

  • 3+ years experience translating business, finance or compliance outcomes to engineering actions and metrics

  • 3+ years experience leading complex projects that cross multiple organizations and functions

  • 5+ years experience leading, managing and developing people and teams

  • Do you have a BA/BS, preferred MS/MBA or related work experience with financial reporting or controls.


  • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating across teams
