Microsoft Corporation Principal Product Manager in Redmond, Washington

Join Microsoft’s Azure Security organization as a Principal Product Manager and help drive our security monitoring and detection vision. Our team is responsible for securing the entire Azure stack and protecting our customers by providing secure cloud-scale services and tools. If you’re passionate about improving Azure security monitoring and detection strategy and solving cloud-scale security challenges, we want you on our team. In this role, you’ll work alongside Data Analysts and Engineers, as well as other Product Managers, to investigate key strategic threats against the Azure platform and identify actionable ways to detect and mitigate these threats. Deliver critical network security design, manage outcomes, and drive execution to achieve results. Translate key partner security and networking request to engineering requirements, and work with the partner engineering team to deliver the implementation. Build partnerships with other Microsoft teams to ensure strategy and execution alignment and leverage others’ work to build a cohesive security solution. Drive clarity by writing detailed specifications that develop desired security outcomes. Work in partnership with a team of highly technical Engineers.

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

o OR equivalent experience.

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements as these are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

o OR equivalent experience.

  • Experience in securing the following areas:

o Datacenter - Wi-Fi, Control Devices/IoT (CyberX), Physical Access Controls, monitoring agents, rack management

o Networking - network appliances and architectural patterns for datacenters, networking concepts (NAT/PAT/IP/DNS/Routing)

o Windows and Linux operating systems - Security Events, OS hardening, standard imaging practices, malware protection, remote connectivity

  • Certifications: CISSP, SANS GIAC

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
