As a Principal Product Manager in the Accessibility Tooling Team you will join a team that is responsible for

accessibility and inclusive innovation across a vast portfolio of products along with critical engineering system tools that power the company, including Accessibility Insights (https://accessibilityinsights.io/) .

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand Microsoft developers, the engineering system and related tools, and the development platforms.

  • Own the roadmap for Microsoft accessibility engineering system improvements especially leveraging latest Artificial Intelligence advancements.

  • Influence others to drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas across divisions.

  • Deliver accessibility features that improve product experiences, address highest impact areas and boost developer productivity. Drive scenario walkthroughs and build integrations into paved path toolsets.

  • Build success metrics and mine data insights for accessibility in the software development lifecycle.

  • Partner with developers, engineering systems teams, and accessibility leads to get feedback and set action plans for improvement. Evangelize new features and drive adoption.

  • Partner with developer tool owners to find new opportunities.

  • Define and execute on experiments to improve accessibility in the ecosystem.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management

  • OR software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
