Microsoft Identity & Network Access (IDNA) Team is looking to hire a Principal Product Manager, Product Liaison to join their team. The IDNA Team play a central part of the everyday technology experience and safeguards over a billion active users every month. It enables the identity experience that is essential for almost every Microsoft product and service from Windows to Office, from Azure to Xbox. Responsibilities

  • Collaborative guidance on product team strategy in shaping analyst inquiries, briefings, and surveys

  • Joint ownership of successful outcomes in analyst engagements with marketing and analyst relations

  • Overall care for product truth in product communications within the analyst space

  • Optimization of product value propositions within bounds of acceptable communications

  • Sourcing of subject matter expertise from within the product group to ensure accurate timely communication

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirement:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of the Entra product suite

  • Broad understanding of enterprise IT, converged infrastructure, GenAI and cybersecurity

  • Knowledge of vendors, industry trends, architectures and/or market forces in Enterprise and/or Customer IAM.

  • 5+ years experience in the identity and Access Management (IAM) industry or Knowledge of adjacent fields including the intersectionality of additional identity fields such as Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), Zero Trust Native Apps (ZTNA), Cloud Identity Entitlement Management (CIEM) or Privileged Access Management (PAM).

  • Experience in completing vendor surveys such as a Gartner magic quadrant or a Forrester Wave or similar

  • Demonstrated ability to relate and convey integrated product scenarios and strategy.

  • Strategic analysis skills reflected in the ability to analyze and triangulate analyst, competitor, customer and product team insights

  • 5+ years Program leadership experience – responsible for leading cross team internal engagements resulting in the completion of key deliverables such as Magic Quadrant (MQ) surveys and others.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
