About the Role

We are establishing a centralized Product Management Office (PMO) within Studios Quality and are looking for an experienced Principal Product Management Manager to help build a foundation and head that team. The PMO will have a pivotal role in our internal engagement model, helping to connect our Quality, Data, and Software Engineering teams while also representing and supporting the overall business objectives of Studios Quality. As part of establishing the PMO, this role will work closely with the Studios Quality Leadership Team to create processes and systems that enable us to deliver impactful, customer-focused solutionsonce these processes and systems are in place, this role will drive adoption, iteration, and continued usage. This role will directly manage the individual contributors in the PMO, helping to grow the careers of everyone on the team.

  • Exemplify leadership excellence managing individual contributors

  • Partner with the Studios Quality Leadership Team to influence and align on organizational goals

  • Provide strategic direction and long-term product vision, identifying opportunities and driving collaboration

  • Guide prioritization of investments across Studios Quality based on business impact

  • Establish best practices for working with the PMO and facilitate training where needed

  • Report on status to all stakeholders, including data-focused tracking of feature success

  • Model Microsofts shared commitment to diversity and inclusion

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years people management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and comfort with communicating through all levels of an organization, including an ability to influence through storytelling

  • Proven ability to approach solutions strategically and tactically, leveraging organizational awareness

  • Experience with change management to facilitate functional and cultural shifts across an organization

  • Demonstrated success establishing a centralized PMO within an existing team

  • Experience with game development or other entertainment fields

  • Experience working with software quality teams

  • Experience working with cross-discipline and geographically distributed teams

  • Familiarity with varied project management methodologies across all phases of product development

  • Understanding of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and/or automation

Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
