Power Apps is at the forefront of this growth curve for low-code app developers, with rapid increase in usage. Within Power Apps, the Devices group is responsible for enabling customers to use Power Apps on all their devices – phones, tablets, Surface devices, desktops and more.
The Power Apps Devices group is looking for a Principal Architect to help guide the strategy, development, and deployment of Power Apps across multiple device platforms. As a Principal Architect, you will get exciting opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies across a variety of platforms, help build the next generation of Business Apps, and revolutionize the way businesses operate.
You will be responsible for driving the technical strategy and architecture across multiple platforms including mobile and desktop. You will work with leaders across the group and across the org to ensure alignment of technical strategy. In addition, you will mentor and lead other engineers to architect and deliver game-changing experiences that customers will love.
Basic Qualifications / Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
8+ years of experience developing enterprise level software
5+ years of experience driving and managing technical and architectural dependencies
Mobile development experience (iOS and/or Android)
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent or 8+ years of industry experience
Experience with TypeScript, front-end technologies like Redux/React and React Native
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
Strong technical acumen combined with a curiosity to continue learning and better understand end user productivity experiences
Experience building applications on the Azure platform is a plus
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
