We are looking to hire a Principal Applied Scientist Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of applied scientists in design, implementation, and execution across a variety of Responsible AI capabilities with high quality.

  • Lead and drive teams in Analyze complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data to balance model accuracy and computational resource.

  • Empower team in collaborating with model engineering team in designing Responsible AI stack core when onboarding science models.

  • Collaborate with a team of world-class researchers, scientists & software engineers to solve very challenging problems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ year(s) of people management experience. Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)

  • OR Master's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)

  • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research).

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Strong expertise in NLP and machine learning. Fluency with recent NLP & ML advancements.

  • Proficiency in Python, C#, or other programming languages, and hands-on experience with popular AI frameworks and tools, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, OpenAI or similar.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master or PhD in Computer Science, or related fields, with a focus on NLP and machine learning.

  • 5+ years of experience in leading and managing applied science teams in industry or academia, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality and impactful AI solutions in a fast-paced and agile environment.

Applied Sciences M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
