As we continue down the path of delivering on our customer promise, we are looking to hire a Program Manager to oversee aspects of the Xbox Publisher Operations model as they relate to Operational capability, IT Connectivity, royalty management, process reporting, billing execution, compliance and vendor management. This will include areas such as new program implementation, new product configuration introduction, vendor team management, managing of transactions supporting royalty billing, introduction of new products or service into the royalty model. The role involves direct engagement with our vendor support teams, Business Groups, Devices Portfolio & Operations (DPO), Global Games Partnership & Development (GGPD), Product release services, Product branding, Compliance, Finance as well as Microsoft security teams.

This role will drive program growth through customer obsession, to optimize processing performance, and to have consistent, impactful execution each day. As a program manager in Xbox Publisher operations, this leader will own the ecosystem to support Xbox Publisher game production, as well as the tracking, reporting and royalty billing of that activity and create business value by operating a predictable, reliable, and low-cost program which adheres to all security and compliance requirements.

The successful hire for this critical role will play a leadership role in Microsoft’s Devices Supply Chain organization’s goal of achieving market leading capability and performance by leveraging company-wide expertise and volumes to deliver higher quality, lower costs and innovative products and services that maximize our customers’ experiences and success.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter with proven skills in driving key initiatives with results through engagement with internal partners, have a solid acumen for program & project management, a strong ability to plan and interact with complex data to achieve results in a complex model with very high compliance standards. The candidate will be a problem solver and be resourceful, creative and willing to work with and through others to be successful. Strong people management and collaboration are critical skills in this role. Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical thinking are necessary for driving a high level of impact and influence in this capacity.



  • Process Management: Continuously improve end to end operational and IT system processes. Document and define end-to-end process improvement across functions, systems and stakeholders

  • Programmatically oversee product configuration changes and product transitions ensuring that Microsoft is flawlessly managing customer expectations.

  • Communication of Product & Program Launch Plans, Risks and Opportunities and KPI performance tracking to stakeholder groups

  • Challenge the status quo via a growth mindset – strive for continuous improvement and customer-centrism in all aspects of decision making

  • Use business data and insights to optimize performance and maximize value throughout the managed programs and processes. Implement data-driven improvement processes with measurable effectiveness.

  • Deliver best-in-class publisher and partner support for the world’s most powerful console. Use continuous feedback to improve the operating model and enable growth for the business.

  • Evaluate and deploy strategies that align to global contractual requirements of Xbox game publishers.

  • Launch new programs and services enabling new go-to-markets (GTMs) and business models, aspiring to unsurpassed publisher and partner experiences.

  • Ensure understanding of and adherence to Microsoft policy, compliance, quality, and security controls; implement policies and procedures to align with business requirements.

  • Navigate ambiguity and influence for effective decision making in a changing environment.

  • Negotiate contractual terms with diverse groups of vendors and suppliers. Manage contracts with all key suppliers and vendors within the model.

  • Manage vendor team supporting the model in relation to transactional processing and data management.

  • Acts as a role model for Microsoft Values across the Supply Chain organization.

  • Deliver results. A driven player/coach who sets high goals for personal achievement and organizational success. He/she measures success against the best internal and external benchmarks.



  • Bachelor’s degree in/or related area to Business, Finance, Operations, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering

  • 2 to 5 years of program management, project management, procurement, vendor management and related relevant experience

  • Proven experience in Program Management

  • Proven track record for identifying risks and implementing mitigations successfully

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Cross-functional collaboration skill

  • Data-oriented, analytical and detail oriented, yet balanced with an ability to be able to step back from the data to draw out the right business approach for conclusion.
