343 Industries is the developer of the blockbuster Halo series of video games. As part of Xbox Game Studios, the Halo franchise encompasses games, television series, novels, comics, licensed collectibles, apparel and more. We are looking for new Spartans to join our team to build the next generation of games and experiences in our award-winning sci-fi universe. In this role youll design, implement, and manage playlists that align with the needs of Halo Infinite. Youll work with partner teams to ensure content (maps and modes) is properly represented in our playlists and aligns with scheduled game events. Youll also help to find, vet, and add community made Forge content to playlists, working directly with Forgers to help ensure their experiences meet expectations. As Multiplayer Playlist Designer youll hone your collaborative skills, utilize our internal playlist tools, and play a hands-on role that directly affects the player experience in Halo Infinite.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation, scheduling, updating, and publishing of playlist content.

  • Work with the Halo Infinite team to deliver modes, maps, and other playlist content on schedule.

  • Coordinate with partner teams to identify and manage playlist content, including images, names, descriptions, maps, modes, etc.

  • Collaborate with the Community, Support, and Data Analytics teams to understand and respond to player sentiment, support issues, and playlist health.

  • Work with the Map Ingestion team to identify, validate, and prepare community Forge content for inclusion in official playlists.

  • Collaborate with community Forgers to help their content meet the playlist quality bar.

  • Fix issues with playlists and other live CMS content.

  • Identify workflow issues with tools to help improve them.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Art, Game Design, or related field AND 2+ years relevant internship/work experience (e.g., game development and design, systems design, content production)

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Game Design, or related field AND 2+ years related work experience (e.g., game development and design, systems design, content production)

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Game Design, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related work experience (e.g., game development and design, systems design, content production)

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Art, Game Design, or related field AND 5+ years relevant internship/work experience (e.g., game development and design, systems design, content production)

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Game Design, or related field AND 5+ years related work experience (e.g., game development and design, systems design, content production)

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Art, Game Design, or related field AND 3+ years related work experience (e.g., game development and design, systems design, content production)

  • OR equivalent experience

  • Experience working on a live game as a service title

  • Halo Forge toolset community experience

  • Experience working directly on competitive multiplayer or First Person Shooter (FPS)/shooter games

Game Design IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,400 - $151,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,300 - $165,400 per year.
