The Global Demand Center is the leading go-to-market effort for Microsoft’s commercial businesses (Microsoft Azure, Office, Windows, etc.) that impacts billions of dollars a year. Our team is leading the transformation of marketing with Global Engagement Programs (GEPs) and engines that allow us to engage in a more personal way with our customers while driving measured business outcomes.

We are looking for a Global Engagement Program Lead to spearhead and orchestrate the multi-channel go-to-market strategy and execution plans to grow the Microsoft Azure direct business. This high visibility, high impact role will strategize, execute and optimize integrated digital campaigns enabled by our marketing automation platform. This experienced marketer will have a good blend of business acumen, a strong self-starter attitude, and the ability to drive work across team with varying priorities to create clarity out of ambiguity.


-Develop the lead acquisition strategy and activate marketing across GDC channels for the Azure Free Account, Pay-As-You-Go Direct and Contact Me business drivers.

-Prioritize and orchestrate work across the Azure Direct team including paid media, web, content, analytics, and marketing operations.

-Develop briefing documents and agency guidance for our Azure Free Account paid media creative and targeting strategy.

-Document, frame, and prioritize relevant offers and product inputs with product marketing.

-Identify customer experience and business priorities in partnership with web team to inform ACOM experimentation and personalization roadmap.

-Develop priorities to inform our quarterly content strategy and GEP customer journey.

-Leverage data for insights and campaign optimization to deliver high quality leads to inside sales, partner, and field sellers and to mainstream best performing campaign tactics.

-Integrate GEPs to drive consistency and connection between Azure Direct and other Azure GEPs, as well as hand-off to Relationship Marketing.

-Serve as an advisor on linking corp-driven, regional, and local marketing activities to global engagement programs.

-Deliver readiness training as required to subsidiary and sales counterparts.

-Executive communications on program results through both written communications and presentations.

-Serve as the internal and external champion for the GEP.


Demonstrated track record of:

-Strong integrated marketing skills with experience managing global marketing programs and campaigns.

-Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to synthesize raw data into actionable campaign optimization strategies for new and existing initiatives.

-Ability to distill business and technology priorities into compelling messaging across various marketing channels to a variety of audiences.

-Ability to influence peers and management.

-Self-starter with drive to succeed in a quickly changing business environment.

-Strong time management skills with proven track record of successfully managing multiple efforts simultaneously.

-Outstanding cross-group collaboration, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem solving, and executive presentation skills.

-Proven ability to have impact and influence with high levels of ambiguity.

-Experience in a business group, field or marketing role.

-Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience of 7+ years marketing experience.
