The Modern Work Scale Programs team is looking for a talented and passionate leader to help us formulate the strategy for Microsoft 365 and Security through innovative commerce and channel strategy with our partners and field teams.

In just a few years, Microsoft 365 has become a multibillion-dollar ecosystem, winning fans in enterprises, mid-market, and small business to move their critical workloads to the cloud. Security is also becoming a key requirement for our customers as they look at ensuring that their digital assets are protected in our cloud.

Partners and our field teams play an ever-increasing role in assisting customers to bring their mission critical workloads from traditional on premises installations to hybrid and full cloud deployments. Microsoft’s partner community is in the middle of a generational transformation from transactional sellers to full cloud based managed service providers – fuelling this transformation is key to our success.

We are looking for an individual capable of helping us formulate the right plans and strategies for building an even stronger ecosystem and commerce strategy around our key workloads inclusive of Microsoft Teams and our Security offerings. This individual will have the opportunity to strengthen her/his critical thinking skills, gain a deeper understanding of our partner and field business model, excel at influencing engineering, business planning, marketing and sales teams to come together on a single, cohesive strategy to build opportunities for our customers and partners alike with Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

Create a vision for how we strengthen the partner channel for Microsoft 365 through strategic activity programs and supporting incentives. This will mean working together with the necessary business planning, product leaders, marketing and sales team to ensure we share the same vision and agree on how we get there.

Develop an approach to improve and standardize partner experience when supporting, managing, and developing on our Microsoft 365 platform. This includes making key decisions around how our partners and field teams sell together in the future, designing the strategy for how we streamline our sales motions, and evangelizing the creation of partner tools required for them to be successful with our customers.

Define and communicate the partner opportunity for M365 including running any research needed to determine the growth/changes in the partner profitability and its drivers as part of our New Commerce journey– this will help formulating internal plans as well as create excitement in the partner communities about the opportunities ahead.

Help the team come together to form a cohesive strategy for our partners and field teams through streamlined sales motions, new commerce tooling, stronger data and intelligence, and innovative incentive programs--in a simple execution plan that maximizes the opportunity for Microsoft while improving the experience and satisfaction of our partners.

The ability to successfully operate across multiple corporate teams across Engineering, marketing, WCB and OCP is a must. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to drive consensus, bringing people along in the journey and influence their thinking on what needs to be done.

Qualifications

This role requires a combination of skills spanning technical and business advocacy around Microsoft 365, Partner Center and Commercial Licensing programs,

• At least eight years of working in product marketing, partner management, business planning, or program management required

• Strong record of success leading high-visibility projects that require cross-group collaboration and executive approval from a geographically distributed set of stakeholders

• An organized self-starter, who creates business value through continued thought leadership

• Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment

• Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences.

• Problem solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through

• Bachelor’s degree required (Sales, Marketing, Business Operations); MBA desired
