WWM&O’s Marketing Services team specializes in the delivery of services that enable marketing execution across the globe. The Marketing Services team provides highly scalable compliant services to drive world-wide marketing efficiency and effectiveness.


We’re looking for an outstanding Marketing Services Operations Mgr to join our marketing services function in support of WWM&O's mission to drive cloud growth for Microsoft through Field Marketing & Sales excellence. As a Marketing Services Operations Manager, you will be responsible for driving the Lead Acquisition and Engagement and Content Marketing Services portfolio , including marketing services related to Customer/Partner List, Lead Upload, Marketing Contact Management, Email and Newsletter services. This role involves…

  • Maintaining existing services, partnering with Marketing Operations peers to monitor service delivery, adoption, efficiency, and satisfaction, and escalating issues to platform governance and/or engineering as appropriate. This effort involves collaborating with peers in Marketing Operations to deliver marketing services via offshore Service Delivery Hubs (SDHs). The SDHs are staffed with highly trained and experienced vendor/agency resources responsible for operating Microsoft’s Marketing Technology (MarTech) stack to deliver services at scale to Marketers and Sellers worldwide.

  • Partnering within WWM&O and across business stakeholders (e.g. Global Demand Center) to identify, scope and deliver new modern services as appropriate. Establish RACI, enable scalable intake and define roadmap.Developing and executing services readiness, communications and deployment plans within scope, timeline and budget, socializing with Field Services and Marketing Operations communities.

  • Partnering with Core Services Engineering (IT) to resolve issues, document requirements, and prioritize backlogs relative to the marketing services dependencies. Establish ongoing rhythms with CSE product owners to manage existing services dependencies.

This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to Microsoft’s marketing transformation initiative, which has long-ranging, global scope. This role will operate in alignment with product marketing (Office, C+E), Field Marketing, Sales Excellence, and Core Services Engineering as part of a high-visibility effort at the company.


This ideal candidate will have passion and experience in below key areas…

  • Email Marketing – Significant hands-on experience in customer-facing email campaigns, email production tools, email production workflow, analytics and the individual roles associated with bringing email campaigns from concept through execution.

  • Customer Data and Enterprise Data Systems – Significant knowledge and experience with enterprise data systems, customer data security, customer data privacy, SCRUM, and technical product management.

  • Project Management – strong abilities in project management, cross-team collaboration, and stakeholder relationships – ability to work closely with business stakeholders to identify, plan, develop, evangelize, deploy and optimize new marketing services.

  • Service-focused – strives to deliver clear business value and exceed service delivery KPIs & service level agreements. Experience prescribing vendor decisions (staffing/capacity, roles/responsibilities, processes, etc.).

  • Organization – is highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills and a close attention to detail.

  • Growth Mindset – excels in a changing environment, can see the opportunity in Digital & Marketing transformation, contributes ideas and encourages others to ‘lean in’ – ability to drive projects forward through ambiguity, drive consensus across functional teams, impact and influence without authority, and resolve conflicts in a professional matter.

  • Communication – is a strong communicator, able to communicate at all levels and skilled at obtaining senior management and cross-team alignment.

  • 3+ years’ experience in managing enterprise marketing programs; business management experience is required

  • BA/BS in Operations, Business Management, Marketing, Computer Science, or equivalent experience; Masters level preferred

  • Certification for SCRUM and/or experience as a SCRUM Product Owner

  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and articulate a vision with supporting business and marketing plans

  • Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to any relevant audience

  • Proven experience managing on-shore and off-shore agencies and vendors to deliver high impact business results on time and within budget in a highly dynamic business environment.
