Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

The Kuiper team is looking for a Leader of Global Supply Management to ensure all components, including ASIC, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical and Mechanical parts for PCBA assemblies, Clear to Build for Satellite and Customer Terminals.

Key job responsibilities

The Sr. Global Supply Manager is responsible for all activities related to order fulfillment, from forecasts to delivery, including day-to-day communication and management of the components suppliers globally. This person has a business orientation and is responsible for working within the local and remote Operations team driving order fulfillment.

• Act as the primary liaison between Planning and EMS team in Kuiper Headquarters in monitoring, managing, and driving the to assure goals / schedules are being met.

• Communicate forecast and verify fulfillment from a materials perspective.

• Drive solutions to reduce and eliminate any shortages preventing meeting order schedule, including assisting in sourcing of materials as required.

• Schedule and host meetings with suppliers in US and/or globally as required.

• Responsible for report generation and distribution.

• Represent the materials organization in internal/ external program meetings.

• Travel required, up to 10%

Basic Qualifications

•Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

•6+ years of program or project management experience

•6+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

•6+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

•3+ years of people management experience

• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps), SAP at an advanced level and SQL

• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

•5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

•5+ years of driving process improvements experience

•5+ years experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization up to VP level

•5+ years experience building processes, project management, and schedules

•5+ years experience Hire and Develop a team that can scale and adapt to business needs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $242,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
