MAINTENANCE PLANNER

The Maintenance Planner is the key facilitator for the onboarding and documentation process for all new maintenance assets, leading the charge to organize the critical spares program and preventative maintenance plans in coordination with the maintenance team. The position requires an individual with strong organizational, independent judgement, and inter-personal people management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owns machine critical spares system including new asset/parts setup, ordering, stocking, and audits parts system submissions for inaccuracies

  • Manages the organizational layout of physical and digital locations of maintenance critical spares items

  • Leverages SQL Queries and Excel databases to review any critical spares risks (and identify viable solution alternatives as needed) on crucial machines including parts that are obsolesced, missing, high volume/ risk, and extended lead

  • Leads audits to asset BOM accuracy on existing part and asset location information

  • Facilitates onboarding and documentation for internally and externally sourced maintenance assets including build documentation spare parts BOM setup

  • Creates PO requests for external servicing and critical spares on an as needed basis

  • Responds to upcoming preventive maintenance signals generated by cycle-tracking system for critical wear items including availability planning with production, item kitting, resource scheduling, part consumption, and close-out verification

  • Responsible for key performance measures related to on-time completion of preventive maintenance activities and critical spares risk posture

  • Participates in the logging/stewardship of machine usage information for subset of machines without a network connection

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certification

  • 1+ years of inventory analytics/ maintenance scheduling

  • 2+ experience using ERP/MRP systems in a maintenance environment

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of machine maintenance operation/ technician experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) in a manufacturing environment

  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and ability to prioritize efforts to meet customer and company goals

  • Technical knowledge and skills in coding and computer applications (e.g. MS Office Suite, VBA, Smartsheet, SQL, Confluence, JIRA, Power BI, etc.)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be available for all shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minimum

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Maintenance Planner/Level 1: $22.00 - $29.00/hour

Maintenance Planner/Level 2: $27.00 - $34.50/hour

Maintenance Planner/Level 3: $32.00 - $40.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
