A Lab Engineer is needed for an American multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services in the Redmond, WA area. This will lead signal integrity testing and hardware assembly in an Azure Cloud lab, specializing in VNA measurements.

responsibilities:

• Execute Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) measurements on test boards and engineering validation boards for interconnect performance validation.

• Assemble systems or test fixtures as needed to prepare for measurements.

• Add instrumentation to devices/boards under test to enable high precision measurements.

• Perform soldering as necessary to prepare boards for measurement.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Oscilloscope measurements.

• Expertise in VNA measurements.

• strong knowledge of datacenter computer hardware, including components and subassemblies.

• Ability to review schematics and board layouts for measurement facilitation.

• Ability to evaluate s-parameter data using tools like PLTS or IdEM.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Signal Integrity simulation tools (e.g., HSpice, ADS).

• Proficiency in data analysis using tools like JMP, Matlab, or Excel.

• Experience in 3D structure modeling using tools like Ansys HFSS.

Experience: 8-10 years of experience in the field, particularly with VNA measurements, hardware, and data centers.

Education: No degree required, but a technical degree in electronics is a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

• strong experience in executing VNA measurements on test and engineering validation boards.

• Experience with data center/hardware.

• Capable of assembling and soldering hardware.
