IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER (ATLASSIAN) SpaceX is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to participate in driving best practices, adoption, and expansion of Atlassian tools at SpaceX. Candidates should have superb experience in administering and engineering solutions using Atlassian application stack. These applications are a crucial part of the SpaceX infrastructure for various teams. The person in this position should have strong overall technical skills, a creative engineering mindset, and superior organizational and prioritization skills. This candidate will need to flourish in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The candidate should be professionally motivated, exhibit leadership qualities, and bring ingenuity to excel at this position. RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish and promote best practices for Atlassian applications at SpaceX (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Crowd, Opsgenie, etc) Work closely with business, development, and engineering teams on creating innovative solutions which will enhance the day to day operations in a timely and proactive manner Recommend, justify, and implement improvements using change control methodology Define document and follow standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation Work with systems administration teams to assure solid administration and monitoring of the Linux servers and SQL environments supporting the Atlassian tools Participate in on-call rotation to handle urgent after-hours work when necessary BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 3+ years of IT systems administration experience with a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems/technology, or similar technical discipline; OR 5+ years of IT systems administration experience without a degree 3+ years of engineering and administration experience with Atlassian Tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Crowd, Opsgenie) Scripting experience with Groovy, Python, or Bash Experience integrating plugins in the Atlassian Marketplace with Atlassian Tools PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 5+ years with degree or 8+ years without degree of engineering and administration experience with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Crowd, Opsgenie, etc) Experience with the administration and upgrade of Atlassian applications in a corporate environment Experience with code repository tools such as Bitbucket, Gitlab, and CI/CD tools like Bamboo or Jenkins Experience in developing and supporting build servers in a mixed server environment Experience customizing and scripting system configurations using Ansible, Rundeck, or other similar technologies Comfortable working with mission critical, sensitive systems Works with a sense of urgency appropriate to the responsibilities ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Willing to work extended hours or weekends as necessary COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay Range: IT Systems Engineer: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00/per year Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
