INFRASTRUCTURE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GLOBAL GATEWAY ROLLOUT The Infrastructure Operations team manages the world's largest network of antenna ground stations. Starlink's ground stations, or gateways, are key to connecting the unconnected. Gateways are the link between internet content at data centers and Starlink's low earth orbit satellite constellation. To operate this global network, you will develop and own the inventory management strategy for gateway and data center hardware in Starlink's warehouses worldwide. As our footprint expands, you are expected to become an expert in overcoming unique inventory, distribution, shipping, and regulatory challenges in every country, and finding creative ways to accelerate our deployment timelines. Individuals in this role must be ready to take on challenges outside of their comfort zone, and capable of developing and executing a well-structured plan using inputs from multiple cross-functional teams. You will play a pivotal role in building the infrastructure, models, and strategies key to Starlink operations around the world. RESPONSIBILITIES: Own aggregated demand planning across ground infrastructure teams, enabling Starlink to grow and efficiently operate its network of antenna ground stations Improve and report visibility into physical inventory at, or in transit to, Starlink's global stocking locations Develop predictive modeling for part consumption and operate dynamic inventory management strategies that support global operations Manage Gateway site deployment schedules and work backward against key shipping, customs, and certification timelines Collaborate with site engineers, reliability engineers, supply chain teams, and shipping and logistics teams to communicate timelines, deliver successful site deploys, and ensure spares are available when needed Optimize workflows, tools, and dashboards for Gateway demand and deploy schedules across the 40+ countries Starlink is live in today, and many locations yet to come! BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of experience working in a supply chain, production, operations, or engineering function PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Experience working internationally or with international suppliers Self-starting, able to identify areas for improvement with minimal direction Ability to tackle complex and ambiguous problems, shepherd the right resources, and drive to quantifiable results Able to adapt and build processes that can flex to changing requirements and strategy Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate challenging topics to executive audiences External supplier management, contracting, and negotiation experience Development experience in Python, C#, or other object-oriented language Experience or interest in data analysis, data visualization, and/or financial analysis Demonstrates commitment to SpaceX's goals of reusability, renewability, and sustainability ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Willingness to travel up to 25% or as needed Willingness to work long hours when needed to meet critical deadlines COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Pay range: Infrastructure Operations Specialist/Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
