Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Hourly Employee Administrator to join our team in Redmond, WA. This position provides administrative support of the human resources, payroll, and operations functions for hourly production employees and report to our Administration Supervisor.

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Ensures new hire paperwork and onboarding process is completed.

  • Complete I-9/E-Verify checks.

  • Execute hourly employee transactions (i.e., department and supervisor changes and other items), in conjunction with Pacific Northwest home office and corporate teams.

  • Process and participate in hourly production unemployment claims/hearings in conjunction our unemployment vendor.

  • Compile and enter data into the Kronos payroll software and reconcile errors as needed.

  • Ensure that all proper approvals have been obtained regarding timecards, leave requests, etc. before processing.

  • Research and respond to employee inquiries regarding pay.

  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, and other pay adjustments based on timekeeping records.

  • Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to time reporting promptly.

  • Maintain confidentiality and security of personal information.

  • Establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with individuals across a broad range of stakeholders, organizational levels, and groups.

  • Seek ways to simplify and improve work processes to achieve business results.

  • Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • A post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline preferred.

  • Two more years of general administrative office work experience.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Teams).

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive information.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability and skill to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks in an environment of changing time constraints and deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of HRIS and/or payroll systems preferred. Workday and/or Kronos experience/knowledge a plus.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to learn and retain rules and processes.

  • Extreme attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.

  • Teamwork: Collaboration with colleagues to achieve project goals.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing project requirements or conditions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

What We Have to Offer:

  • $28.32 - $35.76 / hour

Conditions of Employment:

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily conducted in an office setting.

  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment and computer systems; visual acuity required to read, verify, and enter various data from documents related to the work.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

  • Requires full-time physical presence in the office, Monday through Friday.
