The Global Payout Solutions (GPS) team is part of Microsoft Finance Operations. We are responsible for $140B on-time, accurate, and compliant global payouts to MS suppliers, partners and employees across 150 subsidiaries worldwide. GPS is looking for a global Procure-to-Pay (P2P) leader to manage a high performing team of Business Program Managers (BPM) accountable for monitoring procure to pay systems and communication channels to ensure smooth delivery of high quality and compliant payments to stakeholders.
As the Global Procure-to-Pay Group Manager, you will have a pivotal role in transforming end-to-end Procure-to-Pay operations to align with organizational strategy and support the overall business strategy of Microsoft. You will be at the forefront of driving our systems strategy, leveraging cutting-edge technology to transform our processes and lead the AI wave in the industry. You will provide strategic leadership to your team, emphasizing the importance of looking beyond daily operations to develop comprehensive plans for future improvements. Your main focus will be on setting priorities that drive innovation, foster continuous improvement, minimize low-value activities and enhance process effectiveness. Your contributions will improve Microsoft's operating leverage, enable reinvestment in the business strategy, and positively impact the company's bottom line.
This position involves interacting with Microsoft stakeholders across various levels and functions, including Finance Controls and Compliance, Procurement, Treasury, Business Process Outsourcing partners, and business unit leadership teams. The role includes providing consultation, communication, guidance, and roadmap objectives to stakeholders within these business areas.
Furthermore, you will have people management responsibilities, including fostering employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance. This opportunity allows you to model Microsoft values, coach the team through challenging growth opportunities and offer care, as needed, to the team.
The optimal candidate should have a proven track record of people management, thought-leadership capability, demonstrated success in business partnering, an ability to manage end to end global processes, capability to set system strategy and implement large scale system changes, efficient executive communication skills, the ability to influence others, and a advanced background in Accounts Payable processes including P2P tax responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Generates energy and creates clarity for high performing team of Business Program Managers who identify and scope opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones impactingMS operating leverage
Uses broad and deep industry knowledge of Accounts Payable function to drive continuous process excellence, improve efficiency and enhance effectiveness.
Developssystem transformation strategy aligned with broader Finance and Microsoft strategy, guides the team through planning and deployment of innovative solutions that enhance the efficiency and reliability of payment systems globally
Guides the team through definition of the success criteria, developing outstanding cross-functional accountability model and monitoring the progress
Translates the organizational vision and direction into team priorities and invite feedback from teams if communication has landed.
Guides the team through cost-benefit analyses todetermine ROI and examine performance to value drivers.
Inspires the culture of learning and innovation
Ensures P2P team adapts communication style and storytelling strategy according to audience and business needs.
Manages employee performance, provides regular feedback
Supports employee career goals, drivesemployee growth and development
Ensures Account Payable maintains an advanced environment of controls
Drives effective partnership with business partners to ensure our P2P processes effectiveness

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
OR equivalent experience.
4+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.
Additional preferred quali fications
Global Accounts Payable leadership experience
Experience managing BPO/outsourced services
Business Program Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
