Microsoft Corporation Gaming Principal Cloud Security Engineer in Redmond, Washington

Our team is seeking a talented Gaming Principal Cloud Security Engineer with extensive Azure and coding experience. This organization supports the services, platform, and studios that make up the Gaming business. In addition, we work with other Security teams within the company to ensure that we have the right tools and services to protect these key businesses.
In this role, you will help us engineer and deliver solutions that help secure our business by partnering and engaging with engineering teams to improve our security posture.

Responsibilities
Build cloud security guardrails automation to drive resilient, scalable and secure cloud security architectures and baselines for Gaming businesses.
Deliver, and support high-quality distributed services, infrastructures, and components to enable security for our Gaming businesses
Partner with Microsoft Gaming, Microsoft Security, and partners to ensure ongoing alignment, engineering dependencies, and build solutions
Maintain in-depth knowledge of software industry and cross-company best practices, technologies, architectures, and emerging technologies, and how these can apply to our product, business, service, and technology stack.
Analyze security across cloud services in alignment with best practices
Perform hands-on configuration activities in areas such as Identity & Access Management, Threat Detection and Incident Response
Design and implement automation to validate adherence to security requirements with cloud-based tools.
Implement Process and Operational Improvement opportunities across Security Compliance Programs.
Work across organizational boundaries to coordinate with other subject matter experts and achieve shared objectives.
Providetechnical Cloud Security Architecture guidance to studios and business teams

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in scripting, large-scale cloud deployments, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response
OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
5+ years experience in Azure with a security focus
5+ years experience building cloud security guardrails automation in Azure to drive resilient, scalable and secure cloud security architectures and baselines for Gaming businesses
5+ years experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, and anomaly detection.
OR Master's Degree or Doctorate Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related fieldassp, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, oscp, and/or SecuritY+ certification.
3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP or Azure. Experience with deploying cloud security guardrails and controls
Experience with one or more programming or query languages (PowerShell, Python, Java, SQL). Customer-first, business-savvy, and holds a growth mindset to uphold our culture and values.
Understanding of the Software development ecosystem; from inception to delivery
Certification in one or more of the following technologies: Microsoft Azure Security Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security Specialty.
Proven track record of improving reliability, availability, and performance of cloud services.
Experience developing and maintaining large scale distributed systems.
Security Operations Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
