Actalent FPGA Engineer in Redmond, Washington
Job Title: FPGA Engineer
As a Sr. FPGA Engineer, you will be working on a low orbit satellite system with the goal in mind to provide WIFI to remote parts of the world. This project is similar to Space X and Blue Origin.
Job Description
Detailed hardware architecture and design for CT changes to support military platform requirements.
Detailed documentation to provide to customer for electrical and hardware interfaces
including ICD.
Design and develop custom FPGA register-transfer level code to implement
encryption/decryption of data path including 3rd party IP Core integration.
Design hardware interface(s) to support integration of critical hardware used in gateway
solution including modem assembly and antenna.
Using versal devices for the FPGA family and Xilinx is the manufacturer
Mostly doing hi-speed networking 100 gig interfaces using hi-speed series
Familiar with AXI buses would be a plus
Using RF SOC’s (ultrascale plus)
Mostly doing Verilog for the language; but familiar with VHDL wouldn’t be a bad idea
Doing some signal processing blocks (most modem type stuff would come from other groups for the ASICs)
Hard Skills
Hardware design experience
Antenna or satellite hardware design experience
FPGA experience
Work Environment
Working onsite 3 days a week in Northridge, CA or Redmond, WA
