Purpose
Complete financial data analysis in support of utility rate, fee and general government studies. Assist in documentation and input of data, complete technical analysis for a variety of projects.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
- Receive general instruction on key objectives for execution. Receive direction as needed, and especially complex assignments, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria.
At the Operational and Company Level
- Work with team leaders to communicate and ensure all pertinent stakeholders understand project goals, required specifications, identify/ track KPIs, and prioritize deliverables in accordance with strategic goals.
Do the Work
Review data received from clients; update data request as appropriate.
Input data into analytical project spreadsheet models; note clarifying questions about data.
Document sources of data within project model.
Demonstrate understanding of the basic components of the project model.
Execute directed analyses under supervision.
Complete technical analysis with a high degree of accuracy.
Demonstrate a progressive grasp of the bigger picture and the significance of inter-relationships between disparate data sets through thoughtful questions, comments and analytic approaches to problem solving.
Respond to client emails as they relate to data collection/validation.
Fill in tech memos and/or reports as directed.
Create tables and graphics for documentation.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in economics, business or public administration, mathematics, statistics or other quantitative fields required.
Entry level position, experience preferably in a financial capacity.
Strong quantitative background and skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Must hold a valid state driver’s license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise,
Mobility around an office environment.
Frequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and
fax machines.
Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds.
Occasional pushing or pulling up to20 pounds.
Occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
Occasional travel to client meetings.
Salary and eligible variable compensation (if any) commensurate with experience. Range $60,000 - $75,000 and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
