Finance Manager – CFT Revenue and Gross Margin Analysis

Interested in understanding Microsoft’s big picture and total Company financials? Join the Central Finance Team (CFT). CFT plays a key role in understanding business performance, managing the forecasting and reporting processes to help drive high quality strategic decisions. Key customers include Executives (CEO, CFO, and Corporate VPs), finance leadership and engineering/sales/corporate finance teams.

Business Purpose:

Our team is responsible for delivering comprehensive P&L reporting, as well as providing messaging and forward-looking guidance to investor relations, senior management, and board of directors. Our work directly impacts how senior company executives, the board of directors, Wall Street analysts, shareholders, and employees perceive the financial outlook for the company.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a finance manager who will play a key role in understanding and messaging our company-wide monthly and quarterly earnings results. Core responsibilities include:

  • Lead monthly analysis of business performance

  • Understand and analyze drivers such as market size, pricing and volumes

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly Executive level reporting

  • Contribute to external guidance process with machine learning forecasts

  • Support quarterly Board of Directors and External Investor deliverables

  • Drive special projects as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated work experience in finance

  • Degree in finance, accounting or equivalent is required

  • Systems, tools and technology savvy; financial reporting and power Excel expertise is a must; prior knowledge of Microsoft tools is a plus; strong PowerPoint skills are a plus

  • Detail oriented & thorough, with ability to think ‘big picture’ and understand the key trends and levers that drive Microsoft's business

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, particularly strong with cross-group collaboration and executive presence
