In the CSO Experimentation team, our mission is to earn fans and drive growth through the use of user research & experimentation. We do that across Microsoft’s consumer facing eCommerce storefronts, which are critical engagement points for millions of customers across the world that highlight our hardware, productivity, and entertainment offerings.

As an Experimentation Program Manager , you will support the Experimentation program by implementing and managing a comprehensive experimentation model across cross-functional teams. This role involves leading the creation and analysis of experimentation strategies, fostering a culture of innovation and ensuring the seamless integration of experimentation into business processes. Responsibilities

  • Consults across product, marketing and business teams to evangelize & optimize the use and maintenance of Experimentation strategies & capabilities

  • Develops and implement research strategies to understand customer needs in relation to organizational goals.Shares complex learnings in an objective fashion to provide clear direction and next steps for partner teams

  • Develops and improves standards for experimentation usage, best practices and processes with a focus on enabling self-serve scenarios and maintaining high qualityoutputs

  • Identifies opportunities to improve research tools & drive tooling and process optimization to enable experimentation and research at scale.

  • Curates & delivers training content, including internal learning sessions, to enable teams to scale impact by integrating experimentation into standard processes.

  • Contributes to Experimentation Team & Practicioner success to advance community knowledge and impact through development of high impact use cases and facilitation of cross-team insight sharing.

  • Leverages & optimizes Experimentation Program KPIs to measure impact of Experimentation techniques and contributes strategic expertise to influence stakeholder teams to optimize research approach and use cases

  • Contributes to and participates in regular rhythm of business (ROB) reporting and business review meetings to track experimentation program performance of your program

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles.

  • 3+ years experience working with A/B testing or Feature Flagging tools, such as Azure ExP, Optimizely, AB Tasty, Launch Darkly, StatSig etc.

  • 2+ years of eCommerce /behavioraldata analysis experience or equivalent functional work;extracting insights from large structured & unstructured datasets.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles

  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Social Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years experience in retail, ecommerce, data science, research, marketing or business-related roles.

  • 4+ years’ experience supporting digital user experience development as a product manager, data analyst, UX designer, engineer, or merchandiser.

  • 3+ years experience in go to market (GTM), marketing strategy, business planning, or similar roles.

  • 3+ years experience in integrated, digital or product marketing management.

  • 2+ years project/vendor management experience.

  • Proven sense of high accountability and self-drive to take on and see-through big opportunities. Must be self-started, organized and detail oriented.

  • Proven track-record designing rigorous, online experiments (A/Bn tests)that deliver customer insights and actionable results Demonstrated project management skills coordinating deliverables across several stakeholders with track record of prioritizing and delivering projects in an ambiguous and changing environment.

  • Experience or familiarity with user experience, system architecture and agile development practices.

eCommerce IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.
