Here is your chance to join an exciting team as an Electrical Engineer in the Design Verification engineering team. You will be responsible for the system design validation of Xbox game consoles. The Electrical Engineer will be working within internal teams such as Silicon, Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing to meet validation specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead verification of Xbox Console and Accessories designs at system and subsystems level.

  • Learn about the design and collaborate with Silicon, design engineers and partner teams to define test plans and verification strategies.

  • Oversee and spearhead the execution of test plans, diligently monitor progress, and address debugging to enhance overall quality.

  • Conduct data visualization analysis, interpretations and communicate the findings of test results during the project life cycle.

  • Apply techniques to find bugs, get the root cause of the failures, and resolve complex issues to meet test plan goals.

  • Innovate to improve verification efficiency through methodologies or tools

  • Coach and mentor other Engineers

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of technical engineering experience

  • OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience

  • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience

  • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of technical engineering experience.

  • 3+ years of experience with embedded computer product designs.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in strategic verification planning, test execution, and troubleshooting complex systems.

  • Understanding of computer system architecture and Firmware and Windows OS

  • Technical depth in at least one area of embedded systems and computer systems such as power delivery and management, Firmware, control buses such as I2C (Inter-Integrated Circuit), USB (Universal Serial Bus), PCIe (Peripheral component interconnect express), MIPI (Mobile Industry Processor Interface), HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) or DDR (Double Data Rate).

  • Experience with hardware prototype bring-up and failure analysis.

  • Experience with debugging or developing firmware and software. Ability to sort hardware from software failures.

  • Has implemented automation with Python, Lua, Perl, LabView or other scripting languages.

Electrical Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
