Our corporate client is looking for an exceptional Content Editor / Writer to edit and develop content for their research blog. Our ideal candidate is an exceptional listener and able to provide outstanding customer service to key stakeholders. You'll be responsible for partnering with researchers and using your editorial and writing skills to create compelling blog posts. Overview:

  • Work on editing blog content and possible write occasional original content

  • Meet with researchers to understand the story they would like to tell. Be an advocate for telling a good story

  • Partner with researchers to gather 1st draft content for blog

  • Perform various levels of editing, from copy editing to developmental editing and substantive editing – correct for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and, when warranted, also include a line edit for readability, simplicity, and adherence to guidelines for global English

  • Make editorial recommendations to the researcher and incorporate and iterate on any feedback provided

  • Work closely with the engagement team to deliver content to be posted to the blog

  • Follow content publishing workflow and comply with structured authoring guidance and company / team style guide standards

  • Ensure that content is delivered on time and maintain strong communication with the Outreach team on the production schedule

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience editing public-facing content (enterprise / business audience preferred)

  • Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for science, research, and technology

  • Experience working collaboratively with researcher, creative, and editorial talent, and ability to communicate on an executive level while managing the details of multiple day-to-day productions

  • Excellent writing and communication skills

  • Strong journalistic judgement and integrity

  • Strong attention to detail
